Rachel is an associate attorney on Cliff Wilson’s team, focusing on Personal Lines defense.
Prior to joining Smith Freed & Eberhard, Rachel worked on insurance defense cases involving personal lines, commercial liability, and construction defect. She also worked as a petitions clerk for the Oregon Supreme Court, writing legal memoranda of law for all of the Justices regarding petitions for review and assisting in the opinion writing process.
While in law school, Rachel clerked for the Marion County District Attorney’s Office on the domestic violence team. During her time there, she took three cases to trial as first-chair. She also made numerous other court appearances to argue motions or to participate in contempt of court hearings.
Rachel was also active at Willamette Law School as an Articles/Business Editor for Willamette Journal of International Law and Dispute Resolution and as an Editor for the Intellectual Property Service of Willamette Law Online. She received honors in Intensive Trial Practice, honors in Legal Research and Writing, and Best Appellate Brief.
