Working for Smith Freed Eberhard’s Construction and Development Group, Mike uses his proficiency and over a decade of experience to his clients’ advantage. With notable wins and successful cases, he represents general contractors, subcontractors, product manufacturers and design professionals in all aspects of construction defect and design claims. In addition to construction defect litigation, Mike also represents clients in cases involving personal injury, property damage, and premises liability.
Prior to joining Smith Freed Eberhard, Mike worked for four years at an insurance defense firm in Oregon where he also practiced construction defect litigation, personal injury and property damage claims. During that time, Mike gained substantial experience in depositions, arbitrations, and mediations. Prior to that, Mike worked as a judicial clerk in Multnomah County Circuit Court where he worked closely with trial court judges in all aspects of criminal and civil trials and was exposed to numerous trials with some of Oregon’s most experienced litigators.
Before entering the practice of law, Mike graduated from Gonzaga University School of Law, where he served as the Managing Editor of the Gonzaga Law Review and competed with Gonzaga Law School’s National Trial Team.
