Lee focuses his practice on the defense of commercial liability and liquor liability claims. He represents insurers and their insureds in a variety of personal injury, premises liability, and coverage disputes.
Prior to joining Smith Freed & Eberhard, Lee was head law clerk at the U.S. Attorney’s Office. In this role Lee sharpened his skills in deposing witnesses, writing persuasive motions and pleadings, conducting negotiations, and appearing in United States District Court. He was also able to showcase his organizational talents by managing all aspects of the Central Violations Bureau docket including intake, negotiations, trial, and appeal.
While working for the Washington County District Attorney’s Office, Lee assisted in trial preparations by performing legal research and drafting complex motions. He also sat in on dozens of jury trials and became familiar with the intricacies of taking a case to trial.
During his time at Willamette University, Lee was a Note and Comment Editor for the Willamette Law Review.
