CJ handles a wide-range of insurance defense litigation, including automotive defense, first party property and tort claims.
CJ joined Smith Freed & Eberhard in 2012. Previously, she served as a clerk for Judge Karin Immergut in Multnomah County, Oregon. While there, she gained considerable courtroom experience and was able to observe more than 50 trials.
During law school, CJ received her Certificate of Dispute Resolution from the Strauss Institute at Pepperdine University. She was also a teaching fellow for torts and received a Barrister Award for her trial team involvement.
Prior to attending law school, CJ received her Political Science degree from Portland State University and graduated magna cum laude from the honors college. Her other experience includes working as an intern for Senator Ron Wyden, and working as a research assistant examining death penalty cases.
CJ is currently on the board of the Portland Waves, Pepperdine’s Alumni Association in Portland and she volunteers in the legal community for various causes such as the Classroom Law Project.
