As a member of the firm’s personal lines defense group, Catherine represents insurance companies and their insureds in claims involving bodily injury, property damage, and general liability. Her practice also focuses on cases pertaining to commercial liability defense.
A fierce litigator, Catherine has handled trial and dozens upon dozens of mandatory arbitration hearings in Superior Court with successful outcomes, including defense verdicts. She enjoys a wide range of cases, and firmly believes no case is too big, or too small, for her hard work and dedication. She also is a sought-after presenter for adjuster associations and defense litigators on developments in the insurance industry, personal injury defense, and best trial practices and serves as an arbitrator in personal injury cases. Prior to joining the firm, Catherine specialized in personal injury and family law at a firm in Washington, where she gained a considerable amount of settlement negotiation, dispute resolution, motion practice, and trial experience. Prior to her law career, Catherine refined her legal research and writing abilities by working as the Senior Managing Editor for the Tulane Journal of International and Comparative Law; one of the leading law reviews in the nation. In addition, she received the New Orleans Association for Women Attorneys Award for outstanding clinic scholar for her hands-on legal work.
Catherine gives back to her community through volunteering as a court-appointed special advocate for children in King County Superior Court, and providing tutoring for adults working on their GED or ESL classes who have fled the violence.
