Employment Update: Oregon’s New Minimum Wage Law Now in Effect
From the desk of John M. Kreutzer: As a reminder to Oregon employers, the latest minimum wage increase went into effect on July 1, 2017. The new minimum wage is $10.00 in nonurban counties, $11.25 in the Portland metro area, and $10.25 everywhere else.
The minimum wage in Oregon will continue to rise on a set schedule.
Employers are advised to update their minimum wage poster and display it in a conspicuous place. The poster is available for download here: http://www.oregon.gov/boli/TA/docs/2017-18_MW_Poster%28Eng%29.pdf.
