Meet Our Newest Associate Attorneys at Smith Freed Eberhard’s Portland Office

Please join us in welcoming Matthew Hebert, Alexandra Jansky, and Melvin van Hurck, our newest Associate Attorneys at Smith Freed Eberhard’s Portland, OR office!

Matthew Hebert is an Associate Attorney licensed in Oregon. His practice primarily focuses on Personal Lines. Originally from Lake Charles, Louisiana, Matthew grew up in Dundee, Oregon. When he’s not working, he spends time with his wife and his very active toddler. Matthew and his wife also recently welcomed a newborn. Fun fact: In addition to studying for the bar, Matthew spent his summer watching the Women’s World Cup and Leagues Cup competition between MLS and Liga MX teams.

Alexandra Jansky is an Associate Attorney licensed in Oregon. Her practice focuses on Construction Defect and Commercial Lines. She is a Portland native born and raised, and a third-generation Oregonian. Fun fact: Alexandra tried her hand at gardening this year and she is currently working through the Austen repertoire!

Melvin van Hurck is an Associate Attorney licensed in Oregon. His practice primarily focuses on Commercial Lines. He was born in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and raised there as well as Bangkok, Thailand. Fun fact: Melvin is a huge sports fan in general, specifically the Blazers, Thorns, Titans, and his hometown soccer team, Ajax. He and his wife love to try out new places to eat in Portland.
