John is a senior associate attorney licensed in Washington. His practice focuses on Premises Liability, Negligence, Personal Lines, Automotive Defense, UM/UIM, and PIP.
Before joining Smith Freed Eberhard, John’s career focused on civil defense, homeowner & condo association, and bankruptcy. He led a successful dismissal of a wrongful death case based on accident reconstruction. Additionally, John accomplished a successful negotiation of early settlement based on medical emergency.
When John joined the Washington Defense Trial Lawyers (WDTL), he produced several presentations for WDTL including Negotiating CR 35 Examinations, UIM Claims in 2021, Using Motion Practice to Combat Late Disclosures, Service of Process Variety Pack, and Excess Contribution Strategies.
John grew up in Snohomish County and only left for school until moving back to his hometown in 2014. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogs, the outdoors, and like most Washingtonians, hiking and hunting. In his downtime, he likes to watch college football, especially WSU.
